Fundamental Beliefs

Seriously, do we need a list of fundamental beliefs?  Well, given this world we live in, I suppose we do.  However, we already have a solid foundation for such a list!

From Hebrews 6:

  • Repentance
  • Faith (and Hope)
  • Baptism and Laying on of Hands
  • Resurrection
  • God’s Judgment

I want to whittle down some of the categories, BTW.  Looks like these five are a good start.  What do you search for?  I’m thinking that these might also be applicable:

  • Abortion vs Pro-Life
  • Angels, Satan and Demons
  • Admin (Announcements renamed)
  • Attitude (Current Judgment goes here, Humility, Hypocrisy)
  • Bible Study (swallows Biblical Interpretation)
  • Born Again and Conversion
  • British Israelism
  • Calendar
  • Church (covers history, church governance, disfellowshipping)
  • Clean and Unclean Meats
  • COG News
  • Comparative Religions
  • Creationism vs Evolution
  • Current Events
  • Daily Proverb
  • Discernment
  • Economics and Finances?
  • Editorial
  • Good and Evil
  • False Christianity (including Dispensationalism, False Teachers and Prophets)
  • HWA Legacy (including makeup, etc.)
  • Inspiration
  • Government (civil, not church)
  • Relationships
  • Grace and Law
  • Eternal Life
  • Love
  • Nature of God
  • Human Nature
  • Offenses (it’s actually a search term, it seems)
  • Practical Christianity
  • Prayer
  • Prophecy
  • Proverbs and Sayings
  • Sabbath, Holy Days and Holidays
  • Salvation
  • Trials and Suffering
  • War
  • Ten Commandments
  • Web Resources
  • Book Reviews

About John D Carmack

I am an avid computer geek and Christian. My parents were baptized in WCG around 1973, and a lot of it made sense even then. I went out "into the world" for a while, but God brought me back when the time was right. A true prodigal son, it has deepened my conviction that this world really does need the intervention of Jesus Christ to keep it from destroying itself.
